I love the concept of this image. What I don't love is the sun shining on the bride's gown. I know, it's her day, but come ON yellow demon! 
One thing you can do to lessen the effect of that searing whiteness, apart from donning sunglasses, is in I think the levels menu. There's an "output" slider that allows you to lower the white-point of the image as it's presented, and you probably want to drop that from 255 to about 245 or so.
I also kind of want to see this turned into an old photo: fuzzy border, introduce some film grain, maybe blur it just a touch -- but that could just be the historian in me who wants this to look "old-time".
I do love this moment, though, what a great idea.
